1. Your Intellectual Property & Rights

Full Sovereignty: You retain 100% ownership and copyright of all original content you create within Feather Quill Studio. We claim zero rights to your manuscripts, characters, or world-building lore.

AI Training Policy: We do NOT use your private manuscripts to train public generative AI models. Your creative data is treated as private intellectual property.

2. Our Role: Preparatory Studio, Not Publisher

Feather Quill Studio is a software tool designed to help you architect, design, and prepare your book for publication.

Use of the Studio does not make us your publisher. When you launch your work on platforms like Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), you (or your designated entity) are the Publisher of record. We provide the technical blueprints; you provide the authorial authority.

3. Data Retention & Local Backups

Retention: We retain your project data as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all project data is permanently erased from our databases.

Backup Recommendation: While we utilize high-availability cloud storage, we strongly advise all creators to regularly export their manuscripts (using our PDF or DOCX tools) to maintain their own local archives. We recommend a local backup at the end of every significant writing session.

User Responsibility: The ultimate responsibility for data preservation lies with the user. Feather Quill Studio does not guarantee protection against data loss due to technical failure, user error, or account termination.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Feather Quill Studio offers tiered access. Premium features (Advanced Utilities, Book Trailers, High-Res Exports) require a paid subscription processed via PayPal.

Billing: Recurring monthly basis.
Cancellations: You may cancel at any time via your Dashboard. Access continues until the end of the billing period.

5. Advanced Utilities Disclaimer

Our optional "Advanced Utilities" use Large Language Models. These tools may occasionally produce inaccurate or biased information. You are responsible for verifying all AI-assisted content before publication.

6. Limitation of Liability

Feather Quill Studio is provided "as is". We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or the commercial outcome of your book launch.
